Stalin Grinsplit is the youngest of the ten sons of Lord Grinsplit, former warden of the Southern Reaches. Lord Grinsplit's estates in Helioskinki, though far from the Imperium capital, are the most extensive agro-estates in the entire province.

As tenth son of a tenth son, Stalin was sent to the prestigious Heliopolis Military Academy and promptly forgotten. As a boy, his inherent industriousness led him to not only excel at both combat and academic subjects, but also to sneaking out the back gates to develop a black market toy and om nom trade.

He quickly outgrew supplying the other students at Heliopolis with noms, and grew his trade into various degenerate flash loan services, crypto gambling whale traps, and the production of firefly fire water.

Stalin's intention was always to climb his way through the Imperial bureaucratic machine to the very top, but the Imperium had other ideas.

When his combination flash loan and whale trap caught and bankrupted a high ranking Justicar official, the die was cast. This agro-estate noble son was sort-of falsely accused of several financial engineering crimes and became an enemy of the Imperium secret police.

Refusing offers from several sibs to go into hiding, Stalin Grinsplit threw in with the Crusaders of the Decentralized Light who brought protection and a new world view.

Stalin Grinsplit has continued to learn from the other Crusaders and both his building and fighting skills continue to improve. Grinsplit has grown to be a great leader within the Crusaders. Although his family has officially forsworn him, many of his siblings provide crypto and om nom support from home.

Stalin Grinsplit's trademarks in the arena are his incredibly thicc armor, his long vicious glaive and sword combo, and the big joyous grin he wears in every battle, no matter the opponent or outcome. Oddly, during each battle, he also tends to eat a small rice ball, which he calls "lil nom," before going in for the kill.
