The History of Lord Sander Of the Claw

Lord Sander of the Claw arrived at the Colosseum with fresh powder on his boots, his wife Lady Claw by his side, and dragging through the snow the freshly harvested carcass of an elk bound in chain.

Lord Sander of the Claw is a retired weaponsmith from the highest echelon of the Fabrikators of the north. He is well known for the genesis of his most famous invention, the Claw of Oppression. The weapon, part spurred net and part grappling hook, is his preferred tool for hunting, and for arena combat.

He was banished to the Far Far North, though rumors about the reason for his banishment vary widely. Some say it was because he fraternized with the desiped witches of the North. Others claim it was because of the scandal caused when his wavering sanity stopped him from completing his magnum opus, the Claw of Jack Jack. Still others say that his servants left him to die in the snow, clothed only in a blood-spattered loincloth, supposedly for "his own good."

Regardless of the truth of these rumors, much like the Fabrikators themselves, what is known is that his very identity is shrouded in as much bloodshed as it is mystery.

When he was banished his wife abandoned her mansion to follow him to the remotest North, far away from the tumult of Fabrikator and Imperial politics. Ever since then, they have lived like two reclusive armchair emperors. Lord Sander, in particular, demonstrates his ability to inspire loyalty through fear, time and time again, acquiring and discarding dozens of loyal servants throughout his travels.

Many find Lord Sander annoying, as he simpers after his wife, "my Lady dearest". He also seems fond of giving her many gifts and frequently does so in very public displays with as much showmanship and fanfare as a king's circus.

Lord Sander of the Claw also holds a deep obsession with Bitcoin gold; not just what it can buy but also how it is made, who it represents, and the power that comes with it.

Lord Sander of the Claw is tired of Northern isolation and restless with its bone-chilling landscape. Proper Northern society has rotted out its core, becoming a shadow of what it once was, and leaving Lord Sander bored. So it came as no surprise when he began to wander the wilds in search of distant lands unsullied by civilized society only to stumble on the Colosseum.
