The History of Pickolo

Pickolo grew up as a member of a family that had succumbed to degenerate gambling. They had little money but loved betting on the matches in the Crypto Colosseum. Even as a child, Pickolo, enraptured, would listen to the play-by-play of arena matches.

In elementary school, the kids used to tease him about smelling like dill, which was a result of his family’s love of pickles. The teasing drove him to train for combat. Years of schoolyard beatings by the other the kids gave him narcolepsy but it also made him tough. It turned him into a contender.

He got his first break when the grandmaster of Crypto Colisseum saw him at an arena summer camp. Pickolo lived at the gym of the camp 24 hours a day and subsisted on a diet of pickles, bread and water. He never stopped working on his special technique which he called the YearnMerge.

As he has racked up wins in the arena using his toughness he has paid off his family debts but he won’t give up until he can buy back all of his family's crypto. Pickolo's family is proud of him as are the crypto gods.
